Strengthening Our Local Food System Through Value Chain Coordination

At DNATL CFC, we are dedicated to building a resilient regional food system by providing both soft and hard infrastructure to support Value Chain Coordination (VCC). Our rural and remote location makes local value chain coordination and emergency preparedness planning essential, as we face ongoing pressures from natural disasters and supply chain disruptions.

By investing in Value Chain Coordination, we are building a more resilient, sustainable, and accessible food system for the North Coast. Join us in this effort—your support helps shape a stronger, healthier future for our community!

Our Approach

Through the North Coast Emergency Food System, we work to create new market opportunities for small producers and farmers within the emergency food system. By fostering strong partnerships and infrastructure, we aim to expand access to locally grown food, while ensuring that small farmers and producers can sustain and grow their businesses.

Looking Ahead

We continue to actively engage in VCC efforts with a long-term vision of establishing Del Norte’s only food hub, which includes a commercial kitchen space to:

  • Support small producers and food entrepreneurs

  • Expand local food distribution networks

  • Strengthen capacity to serve larger institutional markets
